I’ve had a knot in my stomach for some time now. You too? A nagging worry, moments of deep doubt. And you wonder, are we headed in the right direction? Am I?
Crazy news cycles, confusion, and tragedy seem all too common these days. I see it in our faces, the worry. It’s as if a curtain slowly falls over the world.
But then… God shows up.
He reveals to me his glory and his grace. In the darkness, his light shines at high intensity. A kind word, a positive reply, a hint of transformation… sudden blessings out of the blue.
His Word arrives with such directness like never before.
Thanksgiving is near. Christmas is coming. It’s time to reclaim these moments and tap into their original meaning.
Thank the Lord our God for all we receive, all we are, and all his love. God came to us as man, and he will come again on clouds from heaven.
Let us receive these blessings with a humble heart.
As the world worries itself forward, the sons and daughters of God will take on a new attitude — a new inner strength and intensity. Fully aware, the stakes are high — souls are at risk.
Still, the rescued soul rejoices. It knows its Savior is near.
Am I listening to this? Do I hear my soul rejoice as it soars free in the mercy of the Lord?
Sometimes I forget, sometimes I get negative. And strange demons from my past suddenly appear again.
But they won’t get in. They will not pass. Those dungeons have been bolted shut long ago. I’ve been beaten up enough to know better.
I know where to go. I know where I must seek refuge. To the One that gives me the words of eternal life.
And instead of a curtain falling, it is ripped in two. Jesus is direct access to God.
As the world gropes wildly for something transcendent, the followers of Christ are already home.
This has nothing to do with being counter-cultural. Instead, it’s the vision of salvation for the world. Let this give us the life-changing spirit we all seek.
And from that place of security and strength, the Body moves forward. It will persevere. To serve and to love, at the most human level possible. One on one. Face to face. Helping, hurting, and healing together.
So be the source of a kind word, a positive reply, or sudden blessings out of the blue.
Be not afraid! We approach a glorious future.
A multitude of souls will rejoice with a loud voice.
Hallelujah! Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed in he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest!

And he stood up to read; and there was given to him the book of the prophet Isaiah. He opened the book and found the place where it was written,
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
Lucas 4:17-19
because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
